The problem and the goal
How could one clear application layer adapt to desktop computers, touchscreens and, eventually, different kinds of devices?
- Implementation
- We built a modular browser workspace where objects, work sessions and settings share one interface. Data is stored locally.
- The result so far
- You can use the object inventory, try project timers and customise the workspace directly in your browser. The result is a working application platform; a bootable operating system remains a future development stage.
What can you try?
- A workshop for ideas, learning goals and experiments, with backup import and export
- Animated ambient mode and a three-row application menu
- Object inventory with photos, notes and repair history
- Project timers, Pomodoro and summaries of your own work sessions
- Customisable appearance and desktop, touch and AX4 layouts
- Local storage and JSON export
Where next?
Measure behaviour on different devices, improve storage and build the first real device adapter. Native AX4 display support first requires investigation of its hardware and boot environment.
A browser workspace, not yet a native operating system.
- Camera access and recording are disabled in the public browser demo.
- Data stays in this browser. There is no cross-device sync.
- Object recognition, physical sensor monitoring and native AX4 support have not been implemented.
- A modern browser is required. Compatibility with every device has not been verified.
